The highly experience coach comes on board as the new Head of Football and Men’s First Team Coach. Gerdsen will be in charge of the direction and development of players and coaches of all ages as the club seek to be a point of difference within the footballing landscape.
Gerdsen holds a UEFA A License and New Zealand Level 3. He has coached all over the world but has spent the past four years coaching in the National League, transforming Canterbury United from a team that regularly missed out on a playoff spot to a side that regularly made them.
The German-born Kiwi has also been involved with New Zealand age-group sides, won the NRFL five times and Chatham Cup once in 2008 with East Coast Bays.
